Our Thematic Areas and Focus

The UDGAM Group operates in the following thematic areas :

Resource Management: Provide livelihood opportunities to the local communities by using locally available natural, human and cultural resources

Capacity Building: Develop enterprise abilities by conducting training, workshop, seminars, exhibition and research programmes

Sensitization of the Community: Generate awareness on conservation, management and promotion of soil, water and forest resources

Implementation of Government Development Schemes: Analysis of challenges being faced by humans, animals and the environment and thereafter conceptualization, planning and implementing existing government programs that are appropriate.

Research and Development: Conservation and rejuvenation of useful indigenous techniques. Development and replication of environment friendly and useful techniques.

Development Programmes for inclusion: of the vulnerable sections of society specially for widows, physically and mentally challenged people, for which fund raising, planning and implementation activities are undertaken.

Value Addition to Agriculture/Horticulture crops by promoting organic methods of harvesting, cultivation, processing and innovative marketing.

Networking: Establishing a network of likeminded institutions and social activists, who complement the work, and research of UDGAM.
